RITA HOW WE MET AND LIVED

Created by Michael 7 years ago
I THANK GOD FOR BLESSING ME WITH RITA. She was a wonderful mother to our children Carole and John, and grandmother to our grandchildren Christian, James, and Charlie and great grandchildren Johnny and Ruby.
It was said of Helen of Troy that she was "The face that launched a thousand ships" - Rita's face lit up a whole place and those who were with her.
It was said of Cleopatra that she was "a woman of surpassing beauty".- Rita's beauty although of outward appearance, was even more an inner beauty from within radiating outwards.
Shakespear wrote "Shall I compare thee to a summers day?" But life with Rita could not be compared with anything. What a wonderful wife. What a wonderful life.. Thank you Rita. Thank you Lord. All the wealth in the world could not compare with the richness that I have had with her. Even in our tribulation I would not desire another life with any other. She made me a better man.
We met at The Court School of Dancing. I asked her for a dance she said that she could not dance, but I insisted. She said that she would probably tread on my toes, of which I replied "if you do I'll kick you in the ankle." I dragged her up for every dance. At the end of the evening I asked her if she had enjoyed the evening, She said yes, except that I kept dancing with her. I had to leave early and Rita suggested that we write as pen pals as I was in the Navy. Which we did.
6 months later we were engaged The following year 1969 we were married.
If we had not met that night, and Rita had not suggesting writing, I would not have had such a beautiful wife and 2 wonderful children, whom we both love dearly and are exstreamly proud of. THANK YOU LORD.

As we met at a dance, so we danced together joined in a wonderful life. Yes toes were stepped on and ankles tapped, but still we danced.
From Penpals to soul mates. Knowing each other inside out, joined as one.
She is now with the Lord and one day I shall be with her. And again we shall dance but in the presence of the Lord.
